Families, couples, groups and skiers who value a complete mountain, service and gastronomy.
150 km in Courchevel with direct access to the interconnected 600 km of Les 3 Vallées.
1850, Moriond, Village, Le Praz and La Tania offer different experiences and price points.
The Colorado perspective
Courchevel is not one village and not only a symbol of luxury. It is a complete ski destination made up of distinct bases, 150 local kilometres and direct access to the 600 interconnected kilometres of Les 3 Vallées.
Colorado's first decision is not simply which hotel to book, but which altitude and atmosphere best match the family, the skiing level and the desired experience.
Mountain profile
Current official reference data. Open pistes and lifts depend on snow, weather and operating dates.

The mountain
Choosing a base
All main villages are connected by pistes, lifts and free shuttles, but the day-to-day experience is very different. Hotel position can matter as much as star category — especially for children, beginners and non-skiers.
Where to stay
The icon: palaces, Michelin-starred dining, boutiques and the broadest ski-in/ski-out luxury selection. Best for travellers who want the complete Courchevel lifestyle.
Sunny, lively and family-friendly, with a strong local ski sector and good restaurants. Usually delivers a more relaxed atmosphere and better value than 1850.
Practical and calm, directly linked to 1850 by gondola and slopes. A smart choice for families who prioritise mountain access over nightlife and shopping.
The most authentic village, with stone chalets, narrow streets and forest skiing. Excellent for character, gastronomy and a quieter mountain rhythm.
Car-free and set among the trees, with ski-in/ski-out convenience and a strong family profile. It also gives efficient access towards Méribel.
Colorado hotel selection
Hotel categories and seasonal operation should always be reconfirmed for the travel dates. Colorado also curates private chalets and residences when they better suit the group.
An intimate contemporary maison in Jardin Alpin, with ski-in/ski-out access, exceptional service, Guerlain spa and destination gastronomy.
A grand, theatrical Alpine palace in Jardin Alpin, particularly compelling for families seeking extensive service and children's facilities.
Discreet chalet-inspired luxury beside the Cospillot piste, with private residences, a celebrated spa and highly personalised service.
A Bellecôte ski-in/ski-out address combining palace service, family facilities and a central 1850 location.
A refined Oetker Collection retreat above 1850, with private access to the slopes and an intimate residential atmosphere.
Lifestyle hotel at the foot of Moriond's slopes, lively and practical for couples, friends and families.
Large family resort connected to Aquamotion, positioned between Village and Moriond with broad facilities.
Characterful address in the historic village, appealing for authenticity, restaurants and efficient lift access.

Straightforward slopeside option with panoramic valley views and practical access to Moriond's ski area.
Ski-in/ski-out family hotel with pool and spa, well placed for skiers who prioritise the mountain and value.
South-facing hotel at the foot of the slopes in Courchevel Village, with quick lift access towards 1850 and Les 3 Vallées.
Beyond skiing
Courchevel combines long lunches on the slopes, Michelin-starred dining, spas, boutiques, Aquamotion, dog sledding and winter walks. For non-skiers, the chosen village and hotel shuttle are decisive; for skiers, advance lunch reservations can shape the day's route.
Practical questions
There is no universal answer. 1850 leads for hotels, gastronomy and shopping; Moriond is sunnier and relaxed; Village is practical; Le Praz is authentic; La Tania is car-free and family-friendly.
The 150 km Courchevel pass is enough for beginners and relaxed local skiing. Confident intermediates and advanced skiers benefit from the 600 km Les 3 Vallées pass.
Seven nights are ideal for skiing and enjoying the destination. Four or five nights can work for a shorter luxury escape, especially with private transfers and a carefully chosen base.
Geneva (GVA) and Lyon (LYS) are each officially listed at roughly 176–179 km and around two hours in normal road conditions. Winter traffic and snow require additional margin; Moûtiers is the nearest railway station.
