Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza–Lagalb and other areas in one region.
Grand hotels, frozen lake, shopping, spa, events and scenic rail journeys.
The Colorado perspective
St. Moritz combines serious skiing with grand hotels, celebrated restaurants, design, shopping and a calendar that transforms the frozen lake into a stage.
The destination is spread across different bases and mountains. Good planning aligns the hotel, daily transport and ski areas with each traveller's priorities.
Destination profile
Official Engadin St. Moritz reference data. Open slopes and lifts vary by date, snow and operations.
The 88 runs and 350+ km refer to different scopes of the region, as in the existing guide.

The mountains
St. Moritz's local mountain: sunny, impeccably groomed terrain, elegant mountain restaurants and excellent skiing for intermediates.
High-altitude skiing up to 3,303 metres, long descents and the celebrated Hahnensee run back towards St. Moritz.
A wilder, more alpine landscape with glacier views, steeper terrain and a very different atmosphere from Corviglia.
Family-friendly mountains and quieter alternatives that add variety to a longer stay in the Engadin.
The village
Dorf concentrates the historic hotels, shops and restaurants. Bad is closer to Signal, Ovaverva spa and lake sports. Suvretta is more secluded and offers privileged ski access. The hotel address materially changes the experience.

Access and extensions
Zurich (ZRH) is the principal gateway. The rail journey via Chur is scenic and takes roughly three hours. The Bernina route towards Tirano and the Glacier Express towards Zermatt can turn the transfer into part of a broader Swiss itinerary.

Practical questions
No. Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza–Lagalb and the smaller areas are connected by road or public transport, not entirely by pistes and lifts.
Dorf prioritises restaurants, shopping and Corviglia access. Bad is practical for Signal, spa and lake activities. Suvretta favours privacy and its own lift access.
No. Corviglia is particularly strong for intermediates and groomed-piste skiing. Experts should add Corvatsch, Diavolezza and Lagalb.
Zurich (ZRH) is the main gateway. The scenic rail journey via Chur takes roughly three hours; private transfers normally take around three hours depending on winter conditions.
Six to eight nights make sense for multiple ski areas, changing weather and the destination's restaurants, spa, rail journeys and winter events.
