Who it suits

A complete week in the snow.

  • First-time skiers who want lessons and services close by.
  • Families looking for practical logistics and different ability levels.
  • Intermediate skiers who enjoy broad, open terrain.
  • Couples and friends who prefer staying slopeside.

It may be less suitable for travellers seeking a traditional village, extensive shopping or varied nightlife. In that case, a stay in Santiago before or after the mountain adds contrast.

Practical questions

Before you
choose the dates.

Is Valle Nevado suitable for beginners?+

Yes. The resort has learning terrain, ski and snowboard school and rental facilities. Lessons booked in advance make the first days easier.

How many nights should I stay?+

Valle Nevado hotels operate with fixed packages of 3, 4 or 7 nights. Different lengths are normally possible only in the condominium residences, subject to availability and the rules for each unit.

Can non-skiers enjoy the resort?+

Yes. Mountain views, restaurants and panoramic gondola rides make it possible to enjoy the Andes without skiing, although the experience is primarily mountain-oriented.

Should I drive from Santiago?+

In winter, we normally recommend a private transfer. The mountain road has many bends and may be subject to traffic controls and snow-chain requirements.

Colorado Experience — Snow since 2012

Valle Nevado is one of the simplest introductions to snow for Brazilian travellers, but the outcome depends heavily on dates, the 3-, 4- or 7-night package and a sound transfer strategy from Santiago.
