France · Méribel

At the heart of Les 3 Vallées.

A complete Méribel guide: Centre, Mottaret, Village and Les Allues, 600 connected kilometres and selected 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels.

Colorado curation

Méribel combines a central position, Alpine architecture and versatile skiing. Colorado matches the village, hotel and logistics to each journey.

01

Who it suits

Families, groups and skiers who want to explore the whole of Les 3 Vallées.

02

The mountain

150 km in the valley and central access to 600 connected kilometres.

03

The bases

Centre, Mottaret, Village and Les Allues offer very different rhythms.

The Colorado perspective

Central by
geography.
Complete by nature.

Méribel occupies the strategic centre of Les 3 Vallées. From the same valley, each ski day can lead towards Courchevel, Val Thorens or the high slopes of Mont Vallon.

Its strength is balance: chalet architecture, village life, family-friendly sectors and serious skiing. Choosing the right base is what transforms a good trip into an exceptionally fluid one.

The mountain

Three valleys. One intelligent base.

  • 150 km in the Méribel Valley and 600 km across the connected Les 3 Vallées.
  • Saulire gives fast access towards Courchevel; Tougnète and Mont de la Challe open the route to Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
  • Mont Vallon reaches 2,952 m and offers some of the valley's most memorable high-altitude skiing.
  • Tree-lined lower pistes, learning areas, snowparks and demanding descents make the valley genuinely versatile.

Choosing a base

Four villages.
Four ways to
experience Méribel.

Free Méribus shuttles connect the valley, but altitude, walking distance and lift choice still define the rhythm of the trip.

Where to stay

The right village
changes the journey.

01

Méribel Centre · 1,450 m

The most complete base for restaurants, shops, après-ski and services. La Chaudanne is the key snow front, with lifts and lesson meeting points in one place.

02

Méribel-Mottaret · 1,750 m

The most ski-focused choice: higher, largely ski-in/ski-out and exceptionally efficient for crossing towards Courchevel or Val Thorens. Ideal for guests who put the mountain first.

03

Méribel Village · 1,400 m

A smaller, elegant Savoyard village with chalets, restaurants and direct gondola access. Quieter than the centre, while free shuttles preserve easy access to its facilities.

04

Les Allues · 1,100 m

The historic heart of the valley, with traditional architecture and a genuine year-round village atmosphere. Best for tranquillity and authenticity; access to skiing takes more planning.

Practical questions

Before choosing
your hotel.

Why choose Méribel?+

Its central position makes it the most balanced base for exploring Les 3 Vallées. It combines access to Courchevel and Val Thorens with Alpine architecture and varied hotel styles.

Centre or Mottaret?+

Choose Centre for village life, dining and après-ski. Choose Mottaret for higher altitude, ski-in/ski-out convenience and maximum efficiency across the domain.

Is Méribel good for families?+

Yes. The valley has excellent learning areas and family services. The decisive detail is matching the hotel to the lesson meeting point and the family's daily rhythm.

How many nights should I stay?+

Seven nights are ideal for a domain of this scale. Four or five can work for experienced skiers with private transfers and a strategically chosen base.

How do I get there?+

Moûtiers is the nearest railway station, 18 km away. Geneva and Lyon are the principal international gateways; private transfer is generally the simplest winter solution.
