Quick match

The best resort depends on the journey.

01

First snow trip

Pal Arinsal

Lessons, progression and a compact mountain, particularly from La Massana and the Pal sector.

02

A complete week

Grandvalira

More pistes, sectors, restaurants and hotel options for families or mixed-ability groups.

03

Snow and freeride

Ordino Arcalís

North-facing slopes, a high-mountain setting and sporting terrain for experienced skiers.

04

Sophisticated hotels

Grandvalira

Soldeu has the strongest slopeside selection; Andorra la Vella broadens the urban options.

05

Mixed group

Grandvalira · Pal Arinsal

Grandvalira leads on variety; Pal Arinsal on simplicity. Ages, ski school and hotel determine the answer.

06

Two mountains

Nord Pass

Combines Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís; the resorts are separate and travel between them is by road.

Passes and transfers

One country; three separate ski areas.

The Andorra Pass brings together 308 skiable kilometres across Grandvalira, Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís. The Nord Pass combines Pal Arinsal and Ordino Arcalís.

The passes do not turn all three areas into one linked ski domain. Grandvalira has its own interconnected sectors; Pal and Arinsal are linked to one another; Ordino Arcalís requires a road transfer.

The Colorado decision

Base, ski school and mountain must work together.

For families, comparing kilometres is not enough. The distance from hotel to lift and the lesson meeting point determine how smoothly each morning runs.

During a one-week stay, it generally works better to select one principal mountain and use the combined pass for one or two strategic days elsewhere.
