A complete Jackson Hole guide: mountain sectors, the Aerial Tram, Teton Village, the town of Jackson, selected hotels, families and access via JAC.
Colorado curation
With 2,500 acres, 1,262 metres of vertical and half its terrain rated expert, Jackson Hole combines skiing with conviction, dramatic scenery and exceptional accommodation beneath the Tetons.
The Colorado perspective
Jackson Hole is a mountain with conviction: dramatic vertical, technical terrain and a landscape that feels larger than the resort itself. It rewards experienced skiers and snowboarders, but thoughtful planning also opens the destination to confident intermediates and families.
The decision begins off the slopes. Teton Village delivers ski convenience and slopeside luxury; the town of Jackson brings Western character, restaurants and a more complete evening life.

How the mountain works
First turns
The clearest learning progression is concentrated near the base and around Solitude Station. Jackson Hole can welcome beginners, but it is not a beginner-led mountain.
Confident intermediates
Groomers, glades and varied blue terrain offer the most natural rhythm for intermediates who already ski with control.
The mountain’s core
Long descents, bowls, steeps and fast access create Jackson Hole’s most versatile sector for strong intermediates and advanced skiers.
Iconic expert terrain
Rendezvous Mountain, expert chutes and the tram define the resort’s reputation. Corbet’s Couloir is a landmark, not a routine piste, and demands expert judgement.
Big Red
The 100-passenger Aerial Tram climbs 1,262 vertical metres to Rendezvous Mountain in about nine minutes. At the summit, the Tetons open in every direction — and the descent quickly reveals why Jackson Hole commands respect.

Two travel rhythms
Two bases
Ski convenience
Stay at the foot of the lifts for the easiest daily routine, premium slopeside hotels and direct access to the resort’s restaurants and après-ski.
Western character
Choose the historic town for a broader restaurant scene, galleries, shops and nightlife, accepting the daily 19-kilometre journey to the mountain.
Town of Jackson
Jackson’s wooden façades, Town Square, galleries, shops and restaurants give it a genuine Western identity. In winter, snow and warm evening lights turn downtown into an experience distinctly different from Teton Village.
