Argentina · El Bolsón

Good runs, with facilities still developing.

El Bolsón · Río Negro

Good runs, nature and a mountain still finding its feet.

Cerro Perito Moreno is El Bolsón's ski mountain, with good runs, forests and a quieter experience. Facilities remain simple and the ski area continues to develop. Choose it for the skiing and the region, while planning around transfers and limited services.

The mountain

A mountain for unhurried progression.

The ski area combines learning and progression runs with higher terrain and separate experiences such as catskiing. The operator reports the prepared ski area separately from special outings.

The ski pass can offer good value, but lifts may be slow and facilities remain modest compared with Argentina's more established resorts. Investment is ongoing; check current operations and prices before planning ski days.

Where to stay

Limited lodging at the base; more choice in El Bolsón.

01

Refúgio Albrecht Rudolph e Après Ski Lodge

At the base, these are small mountain lodging options: the refuge has shared rooms, while the lodge, opened in 2024, offers private rooms. There is no fully developed hotel village at the slopes.

Getting there and planning

Compact on a map, rewarding on the right trip.

Bariloche is usually the main air gateway. Allow around two hours to the ski area, depending on your starting point, road and weather; El Bolsón is about 25 km from the resort, with part of the access road unpaved. For a day trip from Bariloche, allow for the return drive as well.

Decide early whether the priority is learning, skiing groomed runs or exploring the region. That choice guides the number of nights and lodging.

Fabrício's perspective.

Colorado Experience — Snow since 2012

I have skied Cerro Perito Moreno and enjoyed the runs and the ski pass value. But I want to be clear: facilities are still basic and the lifts are slow. Investment is underway, yet I would choose it knowing the services have not caught up with the quality of the slopes. El Bolsón offers more lodging; the base has only a small refuge and lodge.
